Screen printing, general help, reclaiming, press assistant

Acme Prints is looking for someone to join our team as a general helper, specifically in reclaiming screens & screen preparation, ink mixing, and assisting on press. No experience is necessary, we hire for attitude and the desire to learn and grow within the company.

This is an important role in our company and requires a person who is able to work independently and stay focused on time management and quality. Every step of our production process requires an eye for detail and follow-through and doing right by our team and customers.

We've been in business for 25 years and didn't lay off a single employee during COVID or

the recession of 2008 because we’re dedicated to keeping good people around.

This is an in-person position, Monday through Friday, typical hours 6am-2:30pm.

Qualifications and Duties:

-Number one qualification: A genuine interest in helping to create a great product and excelling at your work

-Ability to communicate in a very clear and friendly way with other departments and fellow employees

-Must have excellent organizational skills, such as prioritization, follow-up and follow-through

-Highly motivated, reliable, and productive

-Must be okay working in dog-friendly atmosphere

- A positive outlook and attitude. We have a strict 'no a-hole' policy here. :]

Physical Requirements:

-Ability to bend, twist, kneel, reach, and lift frequently

-Must be able to lift 25+ pounds alone

-Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods

Since day-one in 1999 Acme was founded on the principle of being different from the companies we were forced to use before doing it ourselves. We were tired of the bad communication, the late orders, the sub-par printing, and the complete lack of responsibility if something went wrong. So we made Acme a business with the express purpose of giving people the experience they deserve. The one we never got, no matter how many places we tried.

We’re excited to help our clients with whatever they need, from a vehicle wrap to shirts, and from pint glasses to event tents. We do it all because we’re here to make their lives simpler.

And we’re doing our best to make the world better too. We invest in equipment that literally eats potentially hazardous chemicals with enzymes (crazy, right?), we prevent plastisols from getting to landfills and leaching into the water table (completely legal, but terrible for you and the planet), and we donate tens of thousands of dollars to animal-welfare, human-welfare, and environmental causes– every year. Even in the years we haven’t profited.

Allergies to dogs could be an issue since 3-5 friendly ones come here every day. We’re in Phoenix on 7th Ave just south of McKinley. A minute from the I-10.
