Employment Coach (DSP)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Career Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mentoring and training individuals, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism. As a Career Coach, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through their career journeys, helping them to identify their strengths, set achievable goals, and navigate the job market effectively.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to clients, focusing on career development and job readiness.
Develop personalized action plans that align with clients' skills and aspirations.
Educate clients on job search strategies, resume writing, and interview techniques.
Assist clients in understanding employment labor laws and their rights in the workplace.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions on various topics related to career advancement.
Collaborate with community organizations to support clients with developmental disabilities or autism in finding suitable employment opportunities.
Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' skills and interests, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and outcomes to measure effectiveness of coaching strategies.
Experience
Proven experience in mentoring individuals, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism.
Strong skills in training development and delivering educational content.
Experience in recruiting or human resources is a plus.
Proficient in interviewing techniques and understanding of employment labor laws.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
