Case Interviewer - Electronic Monitoring Field Operations - Pretrial Services Department
Position SummaryThis is a staff-level position primarily tasked with the installation and general maintenance of Electronic Monitoring equipment within residential settings and/or affixed to an individual court-ordered to Electronic Monitoring supervision as a condition of pretrial release or post-trial sentencing.  General duties also include the performance of telephone and field investigations to obtain the required documentation, verify information, and confirm equipment readings post-installation.  While performing their assigned tasks, employees are expected to have minimal physical/direct contact with clients and their families during the equipment installation process.  Work assignments are distributed to team members daily, and outcomes are expected to be documented before the end of assigned shifts.As with any entity within the First Judicial District, the Pretrial Services Department may be called upon to ensure the performance of essential duties or functions as deemed so by administrative and governing bodies, which may result in an individual being available perform essential tasks during court closures and/or non-traditional hours. In order to apply and be considered for this position, please visit https://fjdcareers.phila.gov/Cyberweb/ to complete an application and upload a resume.Essential FunctionsThe following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned.Review documents to ensure information is properly prepared for field investigation.Obtain current information relevant to the residential location being reviewed for facilitation on Electronic Monitoring.Installation of Electronic Monitoring field equipment into a verified residential location.Attach Electronic Monitoring equipment on to the individual being facilitated on Electronic Monitoring.Prepares reports for Pretrial and Probation Officers when required.Maintain a log on all daily transactions and input outcomes within a designated case management system.Interview general public and related parties in all cases.In order to apply and be considered for this position, please visit https://fjdcareers.phila.gov/Cyberweb/ to complete an application and upload a resume.Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of interviewing techniques and principles.Knowledge of the operations and procedures of the electronic monitoring services.Knowledge of office practices and procedures utilizing Microsoft Word, and Outlook to document daily activities.Knowledge of the English language and spelling.Skill in eliciting information quickly and easily.Skill in giving information clearly and concisely.Ability to learn departmental functions and organization.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, associates, and the general public.Ability to work a rotational schedule 24 hours a day, seven days a week, holidays, court closures, and inclement weather.In order to apply and be considered for this position, please visit https://fjdcareers.phila.gov/Cyberweb/ to complete an application and upload a resume.
