Finance Director

As Finance Director, you will work in close collaboration with the pastor, staff, lay leaders, and members of the congregation to make a lasting difference in the life of the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the church's accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, coordination with payroll service, and general ledger.
Prepare and present monthly financial statements and reports to the Finance Team and the Endowment and Memorial Board. Prepare and communicate quarterly giving statements to members of the congregation.
Attend monthly Finance Team meetings and bimonthly Endowment and Memorial Board meetings.
Manage the church's annual budget in collaboration with the Executive Council, Finance Team and other church leaders.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with digital methods of communication and financial transactions.
Team-player who appreciates the opportunity to collaborate with others on staff and in the congregation.
WORK LOCATION
This is an in-person position with the potential for remote flexibility. The church office is open Monday-Thursday, 9am – 3 pm.

Part-time: $30 per hour, 20 hours per week
