Structural Welders (Marine) needed in Tampa, FL!

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Structural Welders (Marine) for immediate hire in Tampa, FL.

PAY: up to $28/hour (based on experience)

HOURS: 40 hours/week

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM

DURATION: 6+ months

MARINE WELDER JOB DESCRIPTION:

SST is seeking skilled marine welders to work on large ships, boats, and other marine structures. This role will involve welding and fabricating metal components to ensure the safety, functionality, and durability of vessels and marine installations.

MARINE WELDER PROCESSES:

Must have marine/shipyard welding experience!

Gas-shielded arc welding

Oxyacetylene welding

Manual welding with coated electrodes

Semi-automatic continuous wire welding (MIG/MAG)

Shielded Arc Gas or TIG Welding (Tungsten Inert Gas)

The most common procedure is 1" 3G and 4G butt weld with fluxcore .052 , 100% co2, back gouge the back side and re-weld

MARINE WELDER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be able to pass a structural welding test and a fitness test.

Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as stick welding and plasma cutting.

Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding specifications.

Operate power tools and hand tools to prepare materials for welding.

Use calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate dimensions.

Inspect welds for quality and make necessary repairs or adjustments.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR MARINE WELDERS:

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Must have reliable transportation to the job site

Must be able to pass a drug screen!
