Auto Paint/ Prep Paint Line Technician
An independent family owned Maaco Collision Repair and Auto Painting is looking add to our team. We are changing what people think about Maaco. We strive for excellence and want to be the best in our area. The ideal candidate will have experience in paint refinishing, and prep but is not required we are willing to train the right induvial. I -Car and OE certifications are a plus. Candidate must be able to work at production shop pace and display a concern for quality. Dependability and ability to adapt are necessary for the right candidate, leadership skills are a must. Job Summary
A Paint Line Technician must oversee and complete tasks that are necessary for painting customer vehicles. Duties may include but are not limited to sanding, prepping, cleaning surfaces for paint and minor disassembly of vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities
Minor disassembly of vehicles, sanding by hand and or machine. You will be on your feet for most of the day and slightly bending over. Have a keen eye for detail by being able to recognize paint and surface imperfection. It is required to keep your work area clean, this includes prep area, body shop and help with paint area
Functional / Technical Knowledge:
Knowledge in auto-body painting
Ability to properly prep panels, mix paints, primers, and other materials. This is a plus but not required
Skills & Abilities Requirements:
Work independently without close supervision.
Flexible/adaptable to constant change.
Highly organized; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiative.
Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
