PartTime Art Teacher Assistant for Local Art Studio
We're looking for creative and ambitious people to join our fun friendly team. Studio Located in Carmel Mountain, San Diego.
TIMELINE
Immediate Hire.
We are seeking a friendly, positive, detail oriented, self-motivated person. Must be willing to assist the lead teachers during art classes and camps, have a genuine love of working with children, help students to follow instructions, setup and clean the classroom, and have fun playing games with kids!
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Assisting art instructor, prepping art supplies;
Teaching Jr. classes: 5-7 yrs old (will provide training);
Stellar communication skills, both spoken and written;
Responsible, punctual, patient and friendly with kids
Basic cleaning to keep the studio clean and organized;
Basic customer service skills to answer questions: You possess a cheerful and knowledgeable voice with strong attention to detail.
Know how to use Google Drive to upload photos and track students’ progress.
Genuine interest in teaching, and a sincere interest in working with students age 6 - 16 yrs.
Must be able to pass background checks (criminal)
Ability to commute/relocate: San Diego, CA 92128: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Language: English (Required)
Preference will be given (but is not required to apply) to applicants who:
Have previous experience teaching children in a group setting
Have previous verifiable work history of dependability and consistency
Have previous Art Theater Experience as a lead teacher or teacher assistant
Previous Camp Teaching or Teacher Assistant Experience
General Schedule
Monday - Friday: 3 PM - 7 PM
Saturday: 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Type: Part-time
$18.00 per hour during the training period
$20.00 per hour after completing training
