Senior Network Engineer

Presidiois hiring a Senior Network Engineer for their North Billerica, MAlocation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cisco network devices and Palo Alto firewalls. They will play a key role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Essential Functions

Responsible for day-to-day support of LAN/WAN/Internet (network routers, switches, firewalls)

Provide analysis of network capacity and health

Implement networking best practices and standards throughout the infrastructure

Administer the corporate firewall infrastructure

Administer SolarWinds monitoring tool

Create, maintain documentation

Maintain accurate asset inventory, refresh

Manage third party vendors

Coordinate technical implementation with business stakeholders

Support day-to-day running of the infrastructure

Ability to work after hours and participate in on-call coverage as needed

Minimum Skills and Experience

10+ year’s hands-on technical experience, including:

7+ years design, implementation, and support of enterprise network technologies including Cisco routers, switches, wireless devices

7+ years configuration and management of enterprise firewall technologies including Palo Alto with Panorama

Experience in network hardware refresh and capacity planning

Strong knowledge of data center and remote sites, offices network design and build-out

Intimate understanding of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF

Proficient skills in architecting and designing TCP/IP networks

Experience building and deploying SD-WAN network design architecture

Experience in configuration and management of cloud networking

Knowledge of SASE based architecture, tools, and processes

Ability to configure, manage and troubleshoot Cisco ISE for Radius and device administration

Configuration of Wireless controllers and Wi-Fi Access Points

Experience with zero trust tools such as ZScaler is preferred

Experience with authentication and authorization tools such as Okta is preferred

Duration: Contract to start, 6 months then renewing month by month
