Position Summary:Patient Companion works under the direction of a RN and provides close observation of patients. A Patient Companion is expected to assist in the provision of a safe and clean environment and promote therapeutic social interaction and assistance with daily living activities.What Patient Companion will do:Provides assistance with daily living activities under the direction of a RN

Positions self in patient rooms at the bedside to maintain constant observation of the patient

Provides comfort, safety and satisfaction to patient while maintaining a clean and orderly environment

What Patient Companion will need: High School diploma or equivalentHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide a safe environment and therapeutic environment based on the age of patients served.

Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.

Possess the ability to communicate observed changes in behavior/activity to the RN.
