Retail Associate & Cashier – Seasonal (Apr-Nov)

As we prepare for the upcoming 2025 season, we're seeking three new team members with experience or interest working in the kitchen, the garden and/or our retail environment. Positions and shifts vary from BOH to FOH, weekday/weekend, and morning/evening shifts.
JOB DESCRIPTION / IDEAL CANDIDATE
Successful candidates will have a passion for our region’s rich offerings and enjoy sharing that knowledge with customers—from the origins of our locally sourced produce to the stories behind the artists featured on our walls. We’re looking for self-motivated, creative individuals with a warm and welcoming presence, a genuine interest in farming, food, and design, and a natural enthusiasm for engaging with others. While front-of-the-house experience in retail or hospitality is a plus, we value confidence, friendliness, and a positive, can-do attitude just as much. Full training will be provided.
NOTE: This position is paid hourly via payroll, plus pooled tips which usually range between $50-$150/shift per team member.

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service & Sales:
Greet and assist customers with purchases, offering product recommendations
Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately
Maintain a welcoming and engaging shopping experience
Stock & Merchandising:
Restock shelves and displays with design collection, farm goods, and artisanal products
Keep the shop clean, organized, and visually appealing
Assist with inventory management and receiving deliveries
Product Knowledge & Engagement:
Learn about and promote full collection across categories of home, kitchen, garden
Answer questions about the local growers and makers we showcase
Encourage customer engagement
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Previous Front-of-House Retail or Hospitality experience (preferred)
Fri-Sun Weekend Availability & Holidays
Punctuality & Reliability (of utmost importance!)
Excellent Communication Skills (in person & via phone/email)

At Least a High School Diploma or its equivalent
