Front Desk Agent for Sundays/Mondays 3P-11P (PM Shift) and Tuesdays/Wednesdays 11P-7A (Overnight Shift), 4 days a week, OFF Thursday. Friday, and Saturdays. With opportunity to cover extra shifts for extra hours.

Front Desk Agent Job Summary (PM Shift)

The front desk agent is responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. The front desk agent is responsible for implementing and maintaining a high standard of customer service, to ensure guest satisfaction.

Front Desk Agent Duties and Responsibilities

Greet guests and complete the registration and check out processes

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information

Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities to maximize room occupancy

Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

Perform and complete all tasks and duties on the shift checklist in a timely and efficient manner

Be able to complete a bucket check, room rate verification report, and housekeeping report

Maintain and market promotions and guest programs

Follow all cash handling and credit policies

Seeks increased occupancy, and ADR, and identifies sales leads to meet profitability goals

Collaborate with team members in all areas to provide an excellent customer experience and meet business needs

Maintain a tidy front desk and lobby area throughout your shift

Maintain safety and security of the hotel and follow key and lock procedures

Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data

Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel

Maintain professional standards of personal appearance and grooming while working

Comply at all times with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations

Report any issues that require maintenance, complying with the hotel tracking system

Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Travel within the local area may be necessary

This position is 100% onsite at the assigned hotel(s)

Report any issues that require maintenance by making a maintenance repair ticket

Perform night audit no later than 1AM. Put night audit paperwork and the day’s paperwork together and file accordingly.

Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Front Desk Agent Requirements and Qualifications

High school diploma or GED certificate

Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, proven planning and organizing skills.

Excellent customer service skills

Bilingual English and Spanish preferred

Physical stamina for being on your feet throughout shifts

Meticulous attention to detail

Able to follow instructions

Time-management skills

Must be proficient with computer systems, personal computers, Hotel management software (for example, HotelKey) is essential.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
