Experienced/trainable spring grinding setup/operator.

The ideal candidate will have experience in various spring grinding methods, setup and operation of grinding tools and equipment, and selecting appropriate grinding wheels.

Responsibilities:

-Setup and operate machine on a diversified range of grinding operations.

-will monitor quality and adjust offsets in machine to hold tolerances per blueprint specifications during production.

-Select correct wheels, feeds, speeds and accurate alignment

-Inspect finished work pieces to determine conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as gauges and calipers

-Observe machine operations to detect any problems, make necessary adjustments to correct problems.

-Mount grinding wheels in machine using forklift

-Should have experience with inspection tolls such as micromater, gauges, calipers, etc

Physical Requirements:

-Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing and seeing

-Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds

-Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles

-Frequent exposure moderate levels of noise

-The ability to wear proper personal protective equipment including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc
