Mechanical and/or Electrical Machine Assembler

Showmark, LLC manufactures custom winding machines for fine wire, fiber optic wire, medical suture, and other fine filaments. Our systems are used in the medical, telecommunications, aerospace & defense, fishing, and other industries. They range in size from small tabletop systems to larger floor standing machines.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assembly Technician with mechanical and/or electrical wiring experience. The successful candidate will work from CAD drawings, electrical schematics, and specifications to build and test our unique machines.

Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical and/or electrical assembly tasks, including component installation, wiring, and testing.

Use hand tools, power tools, saws, and measuring instruments.

Inspect and verify the quality of assemblies to ensure they meet specifications.

Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, identifying and implementing corrective actions.

Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve assembly processes.

Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Assist in the preparation of machines for shipment.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a machine manufacturing or other industrial environment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and/or electrical knowledge.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.

Experience with basic electrical wiring is a major benefit.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or training are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with precision assembly and alignment.

Experience with wiring machine subpanels that include PLC's or other control systems.
