WELD SHOP HELPER | AISC METAL FABRICATOR

An AISC Certified Fabricator, EDCO works with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Aerospace and Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment.

We are looking for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working indoors and out. If you are a motivated self-starter, have excellent communication skills, and are dedicated, collaborative, professional, results-oriented, and reliable, we think you might be a great addition to our team and would love to learn more about you.

Responsibilities associated with the position, including shop safety, forklift & crane operation, shipping & receiving, deburring finished parts, machine maintenance, & cleaning/housekeeping in the shop and yard.

Qualifications.

Dependable, responsible, and reliable.

Mechanical aptitude with sound reasoning skills.

Experience working with power/air tools.

Ability to operate a Forklift.

Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and managers.

A flexible team player who can also work independently.

Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.

Safety conscious behavior.

Valid Washington State Driver’s License.

Specific Activities. Activities include but not limited to:

Ensure shops are clean in appearance including removing trash and sweeping as required.

Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and completed work.

Cutting grass, stocking supplies, emptying garbage, unpacking delivered materials, and other general shop help.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience.

High school or equivalent

1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is desired but not required.

Physical Demands. Ability to lift 50 pounds, work in an industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection and other appropriate protective clothing.

Work Location. Work is performed on-site.

Schedule. Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, may require some overtime work.

Job Type. Full-time, Non-exempt position

Compensation. $20-24 DOE
