About the Role:

As the Simulation Education Specialist, you will serve as a leader, innovator, and subject matter expert for simulation-based education. Your role will focus on the development, design, coordination, and implementation of simulation in the curriculum for Graduate Medical Education (GME), Undergraduate Medical Education (UME), Speech and Hearing Sciences (SHS), and Nutrition, Exercise, and Physiology (NEP). Reporting directly to the Assistant Dean for Simulation-Based Education, you will manage simulation curriculum, supervise staff, oversee budgets, and develop program policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate simulation-based education for diverse medical programs.

Manage staff, budgets, and program policies related to simulation-based learning.

Oversee simulation curriculum development and implementation.

Foster faculty and staff development in simulation education.

Manage day-to-day operations of the Virtual Clinical Center.

Provide high-level reporting and serve as a liaison between departments.

Essential Job Functions:

30% Program Education and Training

25% Faculty, Staff, and Employee Development

20% Virtual Clinical Center Staff Management

20% Center Operations and Management

5% Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Health Sciences, Education, or related field.

Three years of experience in medical or clinical lab training and development.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel across Washington State.

Hiring Incentive: A $5,000 hiring incentive is available for this role.

Salary Range: $4,508.70 – $6,199.47 per month (commensurate with experience).
