Family Law Paralegal with 7-10 Years of Experience
Seeking a highly experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our top-rated, collegial Sacramento firm specializing in high asset divorce and marital agreement legal services.
This full-time, in-office position requires 7-10 years of experience working as a California litigation paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in family law. A bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate (or law license) are also required.
The ideal candidate is experienced and adept at the following:
Analyzing personal and corporate tax returns and other financial records.
Creating Excel spreadsheets with appropriate formulas
Interviewing and working closely with clients to gather information and records
Performing legal research and checking local and state rules & statutes
Drafting declarations, disclosures and other pleadings
Preparing discovery requests, responses, productions, deficiency notices, motions to compel and subpoenas
Preparing and documenting financial disclosures and property division proposals
Running support calculation scenarios utilizing data gleaned from financial records
Working with forensic and vocational experts and other professionals
Calendaring and ensuring filings and deadlines are handled on time
Assisting attorneys with preparation for hearings, mediation and/or trial
Organizing documents in case management system
Tracking and billing time accurately
Working well independently, without supervision or training
Communicating effectively and collaborating with other team members
Ensuring quality control through attention to detail and accuracy.
