Purpose of the Job Responsible for producing the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of private funds, ensuring that reporting deadlines are met and the delivery of client accounting requirements are in compliance with Ocorian’s contractual obligations.Main ResponsibilitiesRecord journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and reconcile bank accounts for assigned funds in a timely and accurate mannerPrepare capital call and distribution notices to partnersPrepare financial statements and footnotes in accordance with US GAAPAllocate income and expenses to partners’ capital accounts in accordance with the funds’ operating agreementsPrepare investor reporting, including capital account statements and calculations of investor and fund performance metricsDevelop an understanding of all entities within the fund structure, the nature of their transactions and reporting requirementsDevelop and maintain a process to ensure the timely delivery of client deliverables for all assigned entitiesEnsure that current accounting standards (US GAAP) and industry best practices are applied to the accounts production process and kept current as such standards and principles developLiaise with clients and other professional advisers to determine financial reporting deadlinesAttend client meetings and respond to client and investor requests for informationLiaise with auditors to ensure the timely completion of audits for fund and fund related entitiesParticipate in office-wide projects to improve efficiency and enhance internal controlsEnsure that regulatory and statutory reporting requirements are metEnsure Ocorian’s policies and procedures are used and adhered to within the accounts team and contribute to the continuing development of those policies and proceduresAny other such duties that might be reasonably required for this role
