We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to join our team at #1 Adult Care Home. The ideal candidate will provide personalized care and support to residents, assisting them with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual capable of maintaining a warm, nurturing environment while delivering exceptional care. We are able to help someone get their certifications. Not required, but preferred if also Russian speaking.

Responsibilities

Enable patients to complete personal hygiene tasks like bathing, toileting, shaving, grooming, dressing, etc.

Perform light housekeeping tasks including but not limited to bed making, laundry, vacuuming, etc.

Mitigate issues with medications by helping to open bottles, organizing self-administered dosing, and arranging for refills, and help the patient with meal preparation and planning

Help patients complete exercise, and physical therapy and ambulate the patient as indicated in the care plan

Execute basic medical tasks such as replacing bandages and dressings, taking vital signs, measuring glucose and ketone levels, and ensuring the proper use of medical devices

Provide personal care tasks such as calling doctors’ offices, scheduling appointments, and coordinating Medicare and other insurance details

Sustain quality companionship and provide psychological and emotional support for patients and their family members

Collaborate with the case manager to implement care plans for patients, and maintain updated and accurate care records

Qualifications

Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs, you may also be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is highly valuable- approved home health aide training programs from community colleges are accepted

Pass a full employment background check, drug test, and physical, and possess current CPR certification and first aid training

Compassionate, kind, and empathetic personality is essential, with superb organization and communications skills
