Our small, busy law firm in downtown San Francisco seeks a full-time versatile legal secretary with transactional and civil litigation experience to support three attorneys.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Has transactional experience, preferably real estate and estate planning but corporate experience translates well. Has civil litigation experience, either plaintiff or defense, preferably in commercial/corporate/business disputes and real estate practice areas.

Understands the motion and discovery processes, along with state court filings, written discovery, preparing deposition notices and witness subpoenas with minimal direction, scheduling court reporters, etc.

MUST BE RELIABLE (great attendance and ability to meet deadlines) and have exceptional analytical skills.

Strong writing and proofreading skills.

Superior organizational skills for tracking tasks and deadlines.

Must be computer-proficient, strong typing (70+wmp), proofreading, grammar skills, TOA/TOC generation with Word, and experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Outlook.

Experience drafting professional letters, emails, and cover letters with minimal direction.

Court website experience in retrieving and following Local Court Rules for statewide practice, retrieving tentative rulings, retrieving department Standing Orders and calendaring deadlines as needed, reserving court hearing dates.

Ability and willingness to collaborate with staff and colleagues at all levels.

A keen interest in professional development and growth. Firm pays for pre-approved MCLE.

Excellent attention to detail and superior organizational skills.

Experience with TABS a plus.
