Full Time Fulfillment Lead/Manager (30-40hrs/week)

We are a small, fast-paced gourmet food company looking for an industrious, reliable individual to manage and work on our e-commerce fulfillment and production line in the SE Hawthorne neighborhood. We are hiring a full-time, permanent production manager to join our team. Shifts are Monday thru Friday from 9am to 5pm. Anyone with speedy fingers and the ability to follow instructions and groove (or laugh) at whatever's on the playlist should apply.

Production Lead Job Description

Goal 1: Produce all the salt and other branded products our retail shops needs, and make sure all departments have what they need, when they need it.

Goal 2: Fulfill all online orders within 24 hours of receipt. Keep mis-ships and damaged/defective shipments to <1%.

Production Duties:

Filling salts needed in a timely and efficient manner

Own the BSC Dashboard and use as your taskmaster

Meet production deadlines for retail orders within 4 business days

Meet production deadlines for wholesale orders as agreed upon with manager

Quality control, making sure all salts are produced and packaged to our standards

Communicate with manager daily about progress, stucks, focuses

Assist in unloading and loading pallets and incoming shipments

Keep regular counts of bulk inventory and update inventory

Communicate with purchasing what needs to be bought

E-commerce Shipping Duties:

Pick, pack and ship 20 orders at a time

Package standard gift boxes/kits and custom curated boxes per customer’s requests

Handwrite all customer’s gift messages and pantry hang tags

Quality control, making sure all orders 100% accurate and packaged to standard (gift boxes, etc.) and ensuring no breakage during shipment

Communicate with manager daily about progress, stucks, focuses

Assist in unloading and loading incoming chocolate, pantry, and bitters shipments

Daily Opening and Closing Tasks:

Make “packed by” cards

Clean production space at the end of every workday

Maintain general cleanliness throughout production space per ODA standards

Sweep and mop

Dishes

Take out trash and recycling

Weekly Tasks:

Clean bathroom

Skills/attributes required include:

Fast worker

Pride in being consistent and fastidious

Ability to be flexible

Take pleasure in supporting others on your team

Daily Tasks:

Put spices and seasonings into glass jars, plastic bags, etc

Label jars and boxes

Casepack jars and boxes

Must be able to lift:

50lbs - weekly

25lbs - daily
