Lead Carpenter (Reston)
District of Columbia, Washington 00000 Washington USA

Job description

Synergy Design & Construction is a small, highly professional company serving northern Virginia and our focus is interior home remodeling. We are currently interviewing for a Lead Carpenter or Carpenter's position.

A few unique things about our company:

We focus on Reston and the immediate surrounding areas outside the beltway. We don't work inside the beltway, Maryland, or DC.

We focus almost solely on interior remodeling - no additions, no roofing, and very little outdoor work.

We complete all designs in-house, including detailed architectural plans, and assist our clients in choosing all materials.

We prioritize quality over speed. We care more about the end product and the homeowners' experience rather than how fast we can get it done.

Applicants:

Must have good communication skills and have ability to direct sub contractors on the job site.

Must be neat and organized. - work efficiency and job site cleanliness are very important

Must have a positive attitude and want to contribute to a growing company.

Must have reliable transportation and own tools.

Valid driver's license and background check required.

The Lead Carpenter position is directly responsible for the onsite supervision and all field activity and the execution of each project according to the plans, specifications, budget, and schedule. Communication skills and professionalism are important, as the Lead Carpenter will be our client's main point of contact. Our company also requires strong attention to detail and a focus on craftsmanship (not speed).

If you're interested in a position, the requirements and responsibilities for the position include:

Skilled in the following: framing (floors/walls/decks), finish trim (crown/base/casing), and cabinetry installation. This is a working position and requires performing demolition, framing, trim, completion of punch list, etc.

Working knowledge of all trades - electrical, roofing, masonry, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, etc. The Lead Carpenter will be supervising our trade partners and the position requires the ability to know what you're looking for when you inspect their work.

Documenting daily and weekly activities including subcontractor presence, client and designer requests, and activities.

Assure trade partners are working on assigned tasks and on schedule.

Must be able to read plans, work independently, and manage their own job site.

If you're interested in working for a quality and customer-focused company that truly treat its employees as their greatest assets, please contact us.
