Fast-paced boutique law firm seeks paralegal to assist with real estate, corporate formation, and trusts and estates issues. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, motivated, and professional self-starter with a good work ethic and ability to work independently. This role is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who has previously worked in a real estate and/or trusts and estates and/or litigation and/or corporate practice, and prefers an environment with the opportunity to work on a wide array of matters, with varied responsibilities for various clients and direct attorney interaction. Position Details

The Paralegal will be expected to fulfill the following roles and responsibilities:

- Keep cases organized by establishing and organizing files, monitoring calendars and deadlines, helping to create and implement

internal scheduling plans, and providing case management support in conjunction with attorneys and other staff;

- Work on all aspects of real estate transactions, including:

- Preparation of deeds, closing documents, and other required real estate forms, including transfer documents;

- Performing appropriate due diligence;

- Leading and managing the process of recording deeds in various counties, and coordinating with title companies to facilitate and

effectuate recordation of deeds and transfer documents;

- Work on all aspects of estate planning and proceedings, including:

- Prepare initial drafts of estate planning documents (wills, healthcare proxies, living wills, powers of attorney, trusts) for attorney

review;

- Work on all aspects of implementation of various corporate structures used by domestic and foreign clients for investment in the

U.S., including:

- Creating company formation documents in various states and countries;

- Assisting with the filing and maintenance related to corporate formation and corporate governance for companies created by the U.S.

entity;

- Provide clients with tax advice and all services related to their investments in the U.S., including:

- Preparation of tax forms; and Coordination with tax service providers.

- Other related duties as assigned by Founding Partner, including litigation and support with dispute resolution.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and industry standards. In addition to base salary, performance-based bonuses are paid.

Position Requirements

A strong candidate will have the following required prior experience, skills and dispositions:

Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong language skills including impeccable spelling, grammar, writing, drafting, editing and proofreading abilities at a native level in both languages.

At least five (5) years of experience in a professional office environment, ideally a legal or corporate environment;

At least two (2) years of experience as a paralegal;

At least two (2) years of experience in a real estate practice;

Have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree;

A New York Notary Public license or a willingness to obtain your license as Notary Public license within three months of your date of hire, with the Firm will covering all costs associated with obtaining a license;

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, keep assignments moving to completion, work well under time constraints, and work independently while seeking guidance appropriately;

Ability to ensure detailed accuracy and high quality across multiple responsibilities;

Good software and computer skills and ability to employ computer skills to higher efficiency and productivity, including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to type 55+ WPM with at least 85% accuracy;

A demonstrated work ethic, and ability to consistently produce high-quality work in a timely manner;

A team player, with a positive, optimistic attitude, who is calm under pressure and unflappable in the face of timely or urgent requests; and

An openness to constructive, supportive feedback, willingness to learn, and a commitment to consistently improve.
