Cambridge Landscape Co. is looking for a highly motivated irrigation technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of irrigation systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Our company has been serving both commercial and residential clients for the last 40 years, including city parks, universities, and athletic centers in the greater Boston area.

The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining underground electric sprinkler systems and drip irrigation systems. This role requires physical abilities such as trunk strength, manual dexterity, and wrist-finger movement. A valid MA driver’s license & SSN is required. This position may or may not work under supervision and reports to the Irrigation Manager.

Employment type: full-time (year-round).

Compensation: up to $35 per hour, depending on experience level.

Ideal candidates will have one or more years of irrigation system experience and will be able to perform the following duties:

- Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems.

- Troubleshoot and resolve irrigation issues.

- Program controllers for proper system performance.

- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

- Re-stock and maintain the company vehicle.

- Winterize systems.

Required Qualifications:

- Ability to diagnose issues with existing residential & commercial systems efficiently.

- Ability to perform sprinkler head and nozzle adjustments and replacements.

- Experience with PVC and Poly pipe repairs.

- Team player with willingness to learn and improve.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time, and work in various weather conditions.

Preferred qualifications:

- Knowledge in electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting.

- Knowledge in both conventional irrigation and two-wire systems.

- Knowledge of controllers and decoders/bi-coders programming.

- Knowledge of Hunter, Baseline and WeatherTrak management systems.
