Job Title: Creative Dance, Yoga, and Fitness Teachers

Location: Chapel Hill, NC

Start Date: Fall 2025

Job Overview:

We are seeking dynamic, creative, and independent dance, yoga, and fitness instructors to join our team for the Fall 2025 season. Our studio aims to offer a variety of drop-in and series-based classes, allowing people to explore different styles without the commitment of memberships, fees, or contracts. We are looking for teachers who are passionate about their craft and enjoy working in a flexible, collaborative, and community-oriented environment.

Types of Classes We Offer:

Various styles of dance (adult and kids)

Yoga (all styles, including partner, family, and adult)

Aerial Yoga

Acro/Circus/Tumbling

Workout Classes

Sound Baths

Belly Dance

PIYO

Floor Pilates

Hula Hooping

Capoeira

Tai Chi

Kickboxing

Aerobics & Fitness

Zumba

Responsibilities:

Teach scheduled classes, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants of all skill levels.

Develop and maintain class content that aligns with the goals of the studio and the diverse needs of students.

Collaborate with other instructors to provide an eclectic mix of offerings and a positive studio culture.

Promote a positive, non-judgmental environment where students can explore and grow in their fitness, yoga, and dance journeys.

Engage with students to ensure a high level of satisfaction and help foster long-term participation in classes.

Qualifications:

Certification in an accredited program for the specific discipline being taught.

Valid North Carolina state license (as required by the state for teaching).

Must carry professional liability insurance and premises liability insurance (easy and inexpensive to obtain).

A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience is preferred.

Requirements:

Flexible team player with the ability to self-manage and work independently.

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with both students and fellow instructors.

Commitment to teaching for at least one year.

Comfortable working as an independent contractor (1099 status, with payments issued by the studio).
