Commercial Real Estate Financial Analyst (Part-Time, with Opportunity for Full-Time)

Are you looking for an exciting career in commercial real estate? This is a dynamic industry where you will gain hands-on experience in underwriting all types of commercial real estate investment properties, including industrial and retail. You will learn how to analyze and value these properties and how commercial real estate investing can build passive income and create wealth. You will also learn how to analyze land for potential development opportunities, evaluating feasibility, market demand, and financial viability. Finally, you will be able to see commercial real estate transactions from the inside of how they are acquired and how value is added and how developments occur from the ground up.

This position is with JLS Real Estate (JLSCRE.COM), a commercial real estate investment firm that specializes in owning and developing high-quality commercial properties. As an owner and developer, we are involved in every stage of the real estate process, from acquisition and underwriting to development and asset management.

This is a part-time role with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct financial analysis and underwriting for commercial real estate investment properties, including industrial, retail, and land development opportunities.

Build and maintain financial models

Research and analyze market trends, comparable sales, lease rates, and economic indicators to support investment decisions.

Evaluate land for potential development

Assist in due diligence for acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing transactions.

Prepare investment memorandums, presentations, and reports for internal teams and investors.

Collaborate with brokers, lenders, and property managers to gather and validate financial and operational data.

Support asset management efforts, including monitoring property performance and identifying value-add opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

No experience is required, but a smart, hard-working person with an interest in real estate is required
