Remote Part-Time or Full-Time Paralegal/Legal Secretary
Our general civil litigation firm, located in the vibrant community of North Bay Area, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Part-Time (3 days/week) or Full-Time Paralegal/Legal Secretary to join our team. Position Details:
● Full-Time: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (30min lunch time), with flexible hours after a 90-day introductory period.
● Part-Time: 3 days per week (schedule to be determined).
● Work Arrangements: Fully remote, in-office, or hybrid based on location and skills.

Responsibilities:
● Knowledge of California court rules and procedures.
● Case management from inception to resolution (mediation, trial, settlement, post-trial).
● Communicate effectively with clients throughout the litigation process.
● Manage discovery process, timelines, and large caseloads.
● Draft, format, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, complaints, and motions.
● Conduct online court filings, request subpoenas, and check case statuses on court websites.
● Perform legal research, including the use of AI tools, to ensure compliance with deadlines.
● Organize and manage document production.
● Track billable hours and expenses daily.
● Utilize legal software such as Acrobat DC Pro, BOX, Slack, Clio, Clio Draft (Lawyaw), LexisNexis (included AI), CEB OnLaw, and EsquireTek.
● Take initiative, be resourceful, and anticipate attorneys' and clients' needs.
Qualifications:
● Experience: 2-5 years of litigation paralegal/legal secretary experience (required).
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal softwares.
● Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational and time-management skills.
● Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (writing sample required).
● Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact professionally with clients, court staff, and third parties.
● Adaptability: Willingness to learn new legal software and procedures.
● Proactive Mindset: Self-starter who asks questions and navigates challenges effectively.
● Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
