Accounting Technician

The Central Coast Water Authority (CCWA) is a public entity operating a 50 MGD water treatment plant and 120 mile pipeline delivering water from the State Water Project to project participants in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. We are currently seeking an Accounting Technician who will report to the Controller and perform a variety of complex accounting duties in the preparation, maintenance and processing of accounting records and financial transactions. The Accounting Technician is responsible for accounts payable processing, payroll, employee benefits administration assistance and other duties as required.

This position is located at the CCWA Administrative office in Buellton, California and will be a 30 hour per week position.

Our ideal candidate should have three (3) years experience in accounting, experience in the public sector desirable. Knowledge of accounts payable processing, payroll and benefits administration, principles and practices of financial record keeping, budgeting procedures and general office practices and procedures will be necessary to be successful in this position.
