Payroll / Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll / Staff Accountant in South Parker with our CPA Firm Client. The chosen candidate will be an integral part of our team, handling various tasks ranging from payroll processing to maintaining accurate financial records for over 100 + clients.Responsibilities: Execute and manage client payroll with precision and punctuality. Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax obligations. Utilize QuickBooks Online for a variety of tasks including payroll processing and general bookkeeping. Carry out bank reconciliations and aid in maintaining accurate financial records for our clients. Generate payroll reports and assist in resolving any discrepancies or client inquiries related to payroll and bookkeeping. Work in cooperation with other team members to uphold accurate and consistent financial procedures. Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations. Maintain the General Ledger and process Journal Entries. Oversee Month End Close procedures. Manage Payroll - Garnishments and Full Cycle Payroll tasks.Requirements Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Proven experience as a Payroll / Staff Accountant in a CA firm or similar industry Demonstrable proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficient in performing bank reconciliations Ability to maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries Experience with month-end close procedures Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software Experience with full cycle payroll processing Familiarity with payroll garnishments and related procedures Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
