CNC SHOP LEAD, SECOND SHIFT
We are an AS9100 certified manufacturer of commercial and aerospace products, seeking a Shop Lead for second shift – 3:30pm – 2:00 am, Monday through Thursday with possible overtime on Fridays. In addition to the regular CNC Operator duties and responsibilities listed below, the CNC Operator Shop Lead will assist with monitoring work flow, providing assistance to co-workers as required. This position reports directly to the CNC Shop Supervisor.
SHOP LEAD ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to set-up is required.
Accomplish positive results by assisting in monitoring job results: the “go to” person on the shop floor.
Assist in the completion of production planning by monitoring job progress; resolve minor problems; report results of the processing flow to shop supervisor.
Assure safety procedures are followed and work stations are cleaned at the end of the shift.
Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
Apprise shop supervisor of any personnel problems/issues.
Contribute to team effort by supporting a positive work environment.
CNC OPERATOR
Ability to run Haas mills, ability to run Haas lathes a plus
Accurately inspect machined parts and adjust machine as required to produce parts to meet specs
Ensure problems are identified and resolved
Maintain proper documentation and reports
Effectively communicate with other workers
Programming experience preferred, but not required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma/GED with 7 years related CNC operator/machinist experience and/or training
Proficiency with hand measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc)
Working knowledge of blueprint interpretation (GD&T)
Good understanding of G code
Proficiency with manual mills and lathes desired
Experience with machining principles and the ability to evaluate and solve problems
Must be a quick learner, self-motivated, dependable and work well with others
