A&P Aircraft Mechanic For Flight School
Lookup Flight Academy, a premier flight school in Lawrenceville GA, is seeking an experienced and motivated A&P Aircraft Mechanic to join our team. The A&P Aircraft Mechanic will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on our fleet of single and multi-engine aircraft to ensure safe and reliable operation. Some Experience with Rotax engines is a big plus.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on single and multi-engine aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies
- Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft systems and components to identify and correct malfunctions
- Inspect and repair aircraft components, including engines, landing gear, electrical systems, and avionics
- Ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance activities in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Communicate with pilots, other mechanics, and management regarding aircraft maintenance issues and status
- Participate in aircraft ferry flights and other operational activities as necessary
Qualifications:
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an A&P Mechanic, preferably in a Part 141 flight school environment
Experience with single engine aircraft preferred
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and procedures
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary
Must have own tools
