Qualifications
CPR certification
Peer Support Certification (will provide, if not certified)
Experience in conflict resolution.
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Ability to build rapport with clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience in substance abuse, social work, other related fields (1yr or more)
High school diploma or equivalent
At least two years related experience required.
Certified Behavioral Health Technician (Required)
Responsibilities
Behavioral Health Associates involves assisting patients with activities of daily living and self-care.
To improve a patient's skills, the associate provides a supportive, caring environment by encouraging positive behaviors and discouraging negative behaviors.
Reporting and recording a patient's progress is also an important part of the job
You will be responsible for implementing effective treatment plans to clients in an individual and group setting.
Work with individuals and groups with substance use problems.
Conduct adaptive skills training.
Lead social skills groups.
Develop and implement individual treatment plans under the supervision of a Behavioral Health Professional
Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients.
Prepare progress notes and letters for relevant parties.
Educate families and groups on substance use treatments and prevention.
Facilitate referrals to other community resources.
Recognize crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions/de-escalation.
Be able to have positive, professional relationships with staff, clients, and visitors.
Perform job functions within the organization’s structure and per company protocol.
