Personal Care Attendant For 18yr Old With Disability

We are seeking a kind, reliable, patient, and encouraging Personal Care Attendant to support our son, a Power Ranger enthusiast young adult with Down syndrome and Autism. This Medicaid-funded position offers a rewarding opportunity to assist with daily living activities and community engagement in a fun, creative, and supportive environment.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3 PM – 7 PM; Every other Wednesday, 12pm - 7pm

Location: Middletown, VA

Compensation: $17.62/hour (Medicaid Position)

Employment Type: Part-time

Responsibilities:

Provide assistance with activities of daily living.

Support community outings and engagement.

Encourage independence while fostering a big brother/sister-type relationship.

Help with organization and life skills in a structured yet fun manner.

Requirements:

Must be patient, kind, and dependable.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Non-smoker

Gas reimbursement for community outings.

Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is a plus.

Must complete background check and Medicaid paperwork before starting.
