Job Title: Labor and Employment Litigation Paralegal
Job Summary: W Law is a small expanding law firm that seeks a bilingual (English and Spanish) labor and employment law litigation Paralegal for a full-time 9am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, in the office position. This is not a remote or hybrid position.
W Law exclusively represents employees in labor and employment law litigation cases against their current and former employers, with a strong emphasis on fighting wage theft by pursuing wage and hour lawsuits.

But the Paralegal must be available to work overtime as needed, particularly when cases are in trial. The ideal candidate will have at least an associate degree and completed an ABA approved paralegal education program. The ideal candidate also must have at least 3 years of paralegal experience. The candidate must have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities:
Work in the office, never remotely
Draft and respond to discovery
Draft, file, and serve legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
Conduct legal research on Westlaw
Organize and manage case files
Assist with case management and trial preparation
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other attorneys
Answer and screen calls
Manage case intake and interview potential clients
Schedule meetings and maintain attorney calendars
Assist with internet, website, and social media content
Process mail and packages, print, and scan documents
Drive to courthouses, post offices, banks, etc. for pick up and drop off tasks
Requirements:
ABA approved paralegal education program completion (ABA approved paralegal certificate or ABA approved paralegal associate degree)
Associate degree minimum education attainment
3 years minimum of law firm paralegal experience
Valid driver’s license
Strong reading comprehension, writing skills, and computer skills
Type speed at least 50 words per minute
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Westlaw, and Clio applications and software
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
The essential functions of the job require standing, walking, and sitting for long periods; lifting up to 25 pounds; and seeing, speaking, and hearing
Compensation:
$28 per hour
Health, dental, vision, retirement, and PTO benefits after 90 days
