Description:

Fleur Bake Shop is seeking an experienced and skilled cake baker to join our amazing team of pastry professionals. This is a full-time, long-term position that allows for creativity and growth within the business. Experience in cake baking and decorating, pastry work or commercial kitchen experience is required.

We only work with buttercream cakes and decorate with edible flowers, finding beauty in the natural, elegant and simplistic style. Although this is a very independent position, we are a small team and are looking for someone who thrives in a team environment and collaborates well with their co-workers.

Role & Responsibilities:

Baking and decorating special order cakes and shop cakes

Writing in chocolate

Assembly of seasonal tartlets

Seasonal tea cakes, bundt cakes

Prep: making pte sucrée dough, rolling tart shells, buttercream, making fillings for cakes and tartlets (curds, pastry cream, ganache, caramel)

Macarons (learned once cake baking and tartlets have been mastered)

Keeping a clean and organized working space

Attention to detail and quality control to ensure consistency and excellence

Following food safety protocol to ensure customer safety

Requirements:

Ability to lift 50# bags of flour and sugar

Shifts are 4-5 days/week (Saturday and Sunday’s are required), starting at 5am

Available to work holidays

Whitney Brien opened Fleur Bake Shop in 2017 with the goal of providing our local community with quality and delicious pastries, cakes, breads and desserts. We're always striving to use as many local and organic ingredients as possible, and only use organic Montana grown and milled flour for all our pastry and bread products (for our cakes, we use organic pastry flour from California). We are a small batch bake shop that values quality and consistency, and everything is made from scratch.
