Grant Support Technician
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Grant Support Technician is responsible for providing the Grant Director with administrative and technical support for all aspects of grant development, application, implementation, compliance, and close-out work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will:
Research and identify funding sources to support existing and planned program activities.
Assist with preparation of letters of intent, proposals, grant application and other related documents for federal, state, and private funding grant programs.
Assist in the management of grant preparation, submission and compliance timelines and deadlines.
Ensure grants and contracts are set up timely in the system and maintained along with complete supporting award documentation and budgets.
o Input all compliance, financial, and performance reporting requirements into eCivis by creating related tasks assigned to the staff member responsible for the entire life of each grant.
Create, maintain, and utilize close-out checklists.
Assist in the development and maintenance of a funding activities calendar.
Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.
Learn, understand, and assist staff in understanding grant/contract compliance requirements including Davis Bacon wages, match requirements, environmental requirements, grant/funding agency requirements for procurement, allowability of costs, etc.
Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Two (2) years of progressive responsible experience related to document organization and preparation or project management; Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skill, and abilities.
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Clean state and federal background check.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Knowledge and experience of Knik Tribe’s Service Area and Knik Tribe’s Programs.
Adequate understanding of all Microsoft Office Applications.
Capable of basic maintenance for general office equipment and multi-line phone systems.
Must pass a criminal background check and be free of barrier crimes.
Clean driving record.
Knowledge and application of professional and ethical conduct as guided by Knik Tribal Council Personnel Manual Section 8.1.

DETAILS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Location: 1744 N Prospect Drive Palmer, AK 99645
Supervisor: Grants Director
Schedule: Monday – Friday. 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Full-time (40 hrs/week), full-year position.
Salary: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE/E. Plus full benefits: Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid leave and holidays, and retirement plan with matching contributions.
