Job Summary:
The Utilities Department of Deland, FL, seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Technician to join our team. This position requires extensive phone interaction, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in Excel. The successful candidate will provide outstanding customer service, handle inquiries, process requests, and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage heavy phone call volume, providing exceptional customer service to residents and businesses.
Respond to inquiries and concerns regarding utility services professionally and courteously.
Utilize Excel for data entry, record-keeping, and reporting.
Process applications, payments, and service requests accurately.
Maintain and update customer account information.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues.
Follow all guidelines and procedures related to customer service and data management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, sorting/filtering).
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Consistent Monday to Friday schedule.
