Medical Biller and Collector
We are a fast-growing medical billing company specializing in cardiology and electrophysiology, and we are seeking an experienced Medical Biller and Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and collections, with specific experience in cardiology and electrophysiology.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately bill and code medical claims for cardiology and electrophysiology services.
Follow up on unpaid claims, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution.
Handle denied claims, work with insurance companies to resolve issues, and ensure payments are received.
Process claims, appeals, and payment postings.
Collaborate with providers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies.
Maintain accurate patient records and billing information.
Stay up to date with the latest insurance regulations and coding changes related to cardiology and electrophysiology.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a medical biller and collector, with at least 2 years of experience in cardiology and electrophysiology.
In-depth knowledge of medical billing codes, insurance policies, and collection procedures specific to cardiology and electrophysiology.
Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical billing software. Ecw is a plus!
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (preferred but not required).
