Practice Guideline Panel Manager
ACMG is seeking an organized and resourceful Practice Guideline Panel Manager to support and monitor clinical practice guideline projects. The individual will be responsible for managing practice guideline panels and the production of deliverables that are expected for each guideline project. Each practice guideline project will be composed of multiple stakeholders, and the Practice Guideline Panel Manager is an instrumental team member who keeps the guideline panel together, coordinates and manages processes necessary to achieving the panel’s goal of producing a usable and meaningful practice guideline for the intended end-user.65% Practice Guideline Panel ManagementAssists with identifying stakeholders for project-specific guideline panels.Assists with activities related to establishing guideline panels which includes, obtaining and maintaining conflict of interest disclosures and, onboarding guideline panel members before project kick-off, and drafting project plans and timelines.Maintains accurate records of the practice guideline development and update process for each guideline panel.Track each panel’s progress and provides adequate coordination and support to ensure the timely production of deliverables.Creates and maintains positive work relationships with all stakeholders, including patient representatives to foster an effective patient engagement experience in relation to practice guideline panels.Monitors work done by methodology contractors (including professional medical librarians) to ensure that work is performed in a standardized and effective manner, based on departmental expectations.Contributes to the drafting of relevant meeting materials to support practice guideline panel meetings.Coordinates the practice guideline writing process by assigning writing sections to relevant practice guideline panel members, providing necessary support and follow-up, and compiling drafts submitted by members of the guideline panel into one cohesive guideline document.Provides bibliographic management support using a bibliographic software such as EndNote.Organizes and manages the logistics necessary to conduct practice guideline panel meetings; including the process of identifying meeting dates and sending calendar invitations.Contributes to the development and deploys post-meeting and post-project completion panel experience and satisfaction surveys.Analyzes and shares project-specific survey findings with the department director to assist with department-level continuous improvement activities.Monitors expenses for each guideline project and provides quarterly reports to the department director.15% Programmatic or Department Level Practice Guidelines SupportAssist in the development of topic nominations to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality for systematic reviews to inform ACMG Practice Guidelines.Shares project-specific experiences and insights about methodological processes employed by various contractors to contribute to department-level efforts to identify and document best practices.Assists the department director in reviewing and maintaining practice guideline development standard operating procedures.20% Project Management SupportProvides varying levels of project management support to other committee or workgroup-related document development processes (other ACMG document types).Creates project plans and timelines for committee or workgroup chairs/co-chairs to review and provide input, if needed.Maintains accurate project-related records for the committee or workgroup, if needed.Tracks workgroup progress and provides adequate coordination and support to ensure timely production of deliverables, if needed.Serves as central point of contact ensuring uniformed messaging about project progress across all levels.Assists with and coordinates the development of project proposals and project deliverables in preparation for Board of Directors review.Contributes to the development and deploys post-meeting and post-project completion workgroup experience and satisfaction surveys, if needed.Contributes to the drafting of relevant meeting materials to support workgroup meetings, if needed.Organizes and manages the logistics necessary to conduct workgroup meetings; including the process of identifying meeting dates and sending calendar invitations.Provides bibliographic management support using a bibliographic software such as EndNote, if needed.
