Exhibit Fabrication/Welder
The Exhibit welders role is to work in conjunction with our project managers and designers to fabricate custom displays for our clients. The Exhibit welders will interpret, fabricate, and sometimes, install displays for various environments. Welders will perform all kinds of welding, brazing, and cutting, using gas and electric welding equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Demonstrated ability to follow directions and stay productive without constant supervision.
-Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements.
-Fabricates displays by cutting, burning, and welding various metals. Repairs displays by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
-Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
-Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
-Coordinates with supervisor and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
-Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
Assists other trades personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
-Transports various items (i.e - tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required in the shop.
-Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
-Ensure that all projects completed in fabrication department meet quality standards.
-Ensure that all projects leaving the fabrication department are complete, clean, and in "Show Ready" condition.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Maintain job critical entry log, daily.
-Ensure that projects are completed within time/budget constraints.
-Responds to emergency situations, as needed, and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and sense of balance required.
-Ability to lift 75 pounds.
-Work involves varying degrees of precision to detail and control.
-Attention and care required to prevent injury to others when performing duties.
-Work involves considerable stooping, bending, and lifting. Considerable glare emits from work, requiring person to wear personal protective equipment. Exposed to moderate burns and exposed to flying objects, such as, chips and scale.
-Accident hazard can involve severe cuts and bruises. Job site must be carefully enclosed to prevent injury to others from sparks and flying chips.
