Journeyman Carpenter
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Journeyman Carpenter with at least 3 years of experience in framing, deck building, and remodeling. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a "can-do" attitude! This role requires excellent technical skills, a passion for quality workmanship, and the ability to interpret blueprints and work independently. Responsibilities:
- Repair, and replacement of wood and composite decks, as well as other remodeling projects.
- Provide mentorship to apprentices, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans to guide the crew in executing accurate and efficient construction.
- Calculate and install stairs, rafters, and other framing components as needed for deck and remodeling projects.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment, ensuring high team morale and job satisfaction.
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and stay on budget.
- Maintain a basic set of tools and bags, ensuring that all equipment is in working condition.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, building codes, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience as a carpenter, with extensive experience in framing and deck building.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other project documents.
- "Can-do" attitude, with the ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Own a basic set of tools and carpenter bags.
- Strong math skills, including the ability to calculate stairs, rafters, and other framing components.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
