Supervisor of Food Services
PRIMARY FUNCTION:  Is a leader within the Residential Department with a commitment to the Richland Newhope mission, vision and values. Plans, schedules and supervises the work of food service employees and laundry worker. Responsible for the following: ordering of food supplies, food service delivery, preparation and storage, completion of purchase orders, and meeting requirements of ICF/DD’s. Evaluates employee performances, schedules kitchen and laundry staff at Raintree, approves leave requests and disciplinary action. Plans and prepares menus according to dietary needs and physician orders, and prepares reports and forms in a timely and accurate manner.  Reviews bills and invoices to determine accuracy and approves for payment.  Works with Registered Dietician to ensure compliance of nutritional requirements for Residential Services.  Assists with completion of billing and reporting procedures. Oversees the residential laundry operations. This job involves a combination of managerial, administrative, and operational tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of food service and laundry operations. The role involves decision-making, evaluation of staff performance, and attention to detail in various administrative processes.This position requires attention to detail and proactive and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.  A hands-on approach may be required to build strength and relationships within the assigned employee team.  There is necessity to prioritize the tasks of the workload and follow through without procrastination.  The work requires making decisions that support agency policies and culture authoritatively and quickly.  Building a positive workplace atmosphere is essential.  A sense of urgency and time management is required to complete the necessary tasks each shift.
