Runner Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and energetic Runner to join our roofing company. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations by delivering materials, documents, and tools to job sites, suppliers, and team members. The ideal candidate is organized, punctual, and enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Delivery: Transport roofing materials, tools, and equipment between suppliers, warehouses, and job sites as requested.

Errands: Complete various errands such as sourcing parts from suppliers.

Inventory Support: Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials and equipment at the warehouse or job sites.

Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the company vehicle is clean, fueled, and properly maintained. Report any issues promptly.

Communication: Maintain clear communication with the office, On Site Supervisor and roofing crews to ensure timely deliveries and updates.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Familiarity with construction or roofing materials (preferred but not required).

Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) as needed.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Bilingual

Able to operate a forklift and other equipment

Has handyman experience

Work Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays

Must have reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role in the construction or roofing industry.

Basic knowledge of local suppliers and routes in the area.
