Now Hiring: Shop Manager for Tattoo Shop

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, self-starting Shop Manager to lead and oversee daily operations at our tattoo shop. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of management experience, a strong work ethic, and a passion for both the creative and business sides of a tattoo shop environment. You’ll be an integral part of our team, ensuring smooth operations and a positive atmosphere for both staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Shop Operations: Oversee daily shop operations, including managing the front counter, greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the shop is clean and well-stocked.

- Staff Management: Supervise and lead tattoo artists, ensuring they have the resources they need to perform at their best while maintaining a supportive, collaborative environment.

- Customer Relations: Provide exceptional customer service, handle client concerns or complaints, and maintain a friendly and professional atmosphere for both clients and staff.

- Finances & Payroll: Manage shop finances, including budgeting, payroll, inventory tracking, and ordering supplies. Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

- Collaboration with Ownership: Work closely with shop owners to implement business strategies, changes, and improvements. Ensure all shop policies and procedures align with the overall vision of the business.

- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all health and safety standards are met, including sanitation, licensing, and proper procedures for tattooing and piercings.

- Team Leadership: Foster a positive, productive work culture by promoting strong communication and collaboration between tattoo artists, staff, and management. Lead by example and motivate the team to succeed.

- Marketing & Client Retention: Help drive business growth through creative marketing strategies and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

What We’re Looking For:

- 5+ years of management experience, preferably in the tattoo or creative industry

- Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team

- Experience in financial management, including budgeting and payroll

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage both clients and staff effectively

- Understanding of tattoo shop operations, from client consultation to aftercare

- Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- A passion for tattoos and the tattoo industry, with knowledge of current trends and best practices

- Must be dependable with reliable transportation

- Must be at least 18 years old and reside in Asheville or the surrounding areas

- Drug-free and able to pass a background check

Job Details:

- Full-time (35-40 hours per week)

- $20/hour

- Hours: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
