Carpenter/Laborer
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Install, maintain, and repair a wide variety of products including: cabinets, drywall, doors, windows, tile, flooring and other major remodeling items.
Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge for renovation work
Drywall finishing
Flooring, framing, painting, and cabinetry knowledge
Installation of a wide variety of accessibility products
Perform work in accordance with safety best practices
Conduct inspections and identify needed repairs
Document repairs and maintain thorough records
Cut, shape, and alter materials as needed
Measure and mark materials for alterations
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
At least 1 year of construction experience. Ideally 2 years of general carpentry/construction experience. Completion of an apprenticeship, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license
Demonstrated ability to operate hand, air, and power tools
Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
Plumbing, electrical, framing, and mechanical knowledge
Lead Testing Certification preferred or willing to obtain
Possession of (or willing to obtain prior to start) the following tools: Screwdrivers, tin snips, pry bars, pliers (wire cutters, channel lock, & needle nose), wrenches, hammer, impact drill, drill, reciprocating saw, drywall tools, paint brush, tape measure, levels, tool belt, gloves
