LEAF SPRING MECHANIC NEEDED

A leaf spring mechanic will install and remove "leaf springs" from light, medium and heavy-duty trucks. Over time you will learn to bend U-bolts and then cut and shape the steel into the springs as needed. You will learn to use an oxy/acetylene torch. This is a specialty trade. You must be able to read a ruler, speak English (for safety reasons) and carry a valid driver's license and have your own transportation. You must possess basic mechanical skills. Hydraulic tools are used to manipulate the steel. You must be physically strong as springs can be very heavy. You will learn to drive a forklift. You will be stocking and loading and unloading customers vehicles as well as delivery vehicles and putting stock away.
