Substitute Teacher - Infants through Preschool

Siemens Child Development Center is looking for substitute teachers with flexible schedules to come play with us! Our ideal candidates would be energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated, authentic, passionate, playful, and most of all genuinely engaged by the work of the very youngest learners - infants through preschoolers.

Schedules are flexible and include on-call work and pre-scheduled work during our regular operating hours, Mon-Fri 7:45a-5p. Hourly rate starts at $18.00

This is an ideal position for those pursuing degrees in education, those who are looking to enter the field of ECE.

As a sub you'll receive on-site training and gain valuable experience in an innovative, high quality program working alongside our skilled teaching teams.

Responsibilities of this position include:

-Supporting the daily work of our school through curriculum that is responsive to children's interests.

-Participating in direct care-giving routines with children.

-Open and constructive conversations with communication with colleagues and parents.

Eligibility Requirements:

-Ability to enroll in the Oregon Child Care Division's Central Background Registry

-Food Handler's Card

-First Aid/CPR Certification (infant/pediatric/adult)

Siemens Child Development Center is an employer-sponsored center in Wilsonville, approximately 20 miles from downtown Portland. Substitute teachers are hired through a contract agency and are not eligible for benefits.
