We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and have a strong understanding of the latest medical technologies and techniques. The nurse will share each shift with a NAC or another nurse, caring for 5 medically-complex children, ages 0-10, in a home setting. Our ultimate goal is to help each child achieve medical stability, facilitate family-caregiver teaching, and allow the child to return home. While they reside with us we strive to make each child feel like this is their home, and we develop close relationships with both the child and those who are involved in their care.

Duties:

- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient vital signs.

- Collaborate with our healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

- Perform routine medical procedures, such as catheterization, tube feeding, and trach/vent care

- Utilize advanced medical technology

- Care for patients with a range of medical conditions, including those requiring hospice and palliative medicine.

- Provide supportive care to patients and their families, including toddler care and education.

- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.

- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including adhering to infection control protocols.

- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest medical knowledge and best practices.

Experience:

- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where the position is located.

- May consider LPN with prior experience

- Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in the area of PICU /NICU, hospice and palliative medicine.

- Strong understanding of physiology and ability to apply this knowledge to patient care.

- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding systems and other medical technologies.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Compassion and empathy for patients and their families.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $42.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
