Job Summary

The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for reviewing inventory levels, issuing purchase orders, following up with vendors, and using spreadsheets for order forecasting. This role will also assist in improving our purchasing process by utilizing NetSuite and other data management tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Review inventory levels and confirm quantities to ensure adequate stock.

Issue and manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring timely processing and accuracy.

Follow up with vendors on order status, lead times, and any discrepancies.

Utilize spreadsheets to predict order needs based on historical data and demand trends.

Assist in using and optimizing NetSuite for purchasing and inventory management.

Monitor and update purchasing records, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

Communicate with internal teams regarding supply needs, order timelines, and process improvements.

Work closely with suppliers to negotiate terms and resolve any procurement-related issues.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management (preferred but not required).

Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and order forecasting.

Familiarity with NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and follow-up skills for vendor interactions.

Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement.
