We are looking for a highly experienced professional to take on this newly created exciting role in PartnerRe’s Asia-Pacific Life & Health Business Development team.  The Business Development team is responsible for sourcing, developing and executing new reinsurance opportunities, managing all aspects of the client relationship and portfolio and leading the execution of PartnerRe’s Life & Health strategy in the region.In this role, you will lead the sustainable growth of revenue and earnings of PartnerRe’s life reinsurance business for the South Asia markets, specifically, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand, whilst effectively managing all aspects of the portfolio to ensure ongoing client satisfaction for value delivery and optimising profitability for PartnerRe.  You and your team will be the first point-of-call for clients for all business-related matters from new business opportunities to managing the in-force book.  You will work closely with the local, regional and global teams to successfully prioritise and deliver PartnerRe’s differentiated solutions and services to our clients to win and retain business and grow PartnerRe’s brand in the region. About the roleThis role:reports to the Chief Commercial Officer, Life & Health, Asia Pacifichas 3 direct reports: Client Partner for Hong Kong, Client Partner for Taiwan, Client Partner for Singapore & Thailand  You will:Lead your team to develop and execute the market and client strategies and business plans for your region in line with PartnerRe’s global Life & Health strategy and goalsBe accountable for leading your team to deliver the targeted results and profitability in line with aforementioned strategies and business plansWork closely with the regional and global Marketing & Communications team to set and execute the marketing & communications strategy to grow PartnerRe’s brand in your markets to support your business growth, as well as support the wider APAC Life & Health Marketing & Comms strategy and related initiatives.Build and own client relationships across all working levels and functions with a focus on senior management, C-suites and other key-decision makers.  You will take initiatives to deepen client relationships between client and PartnerRe across the respective functions at all working levels.Lead the team to prospect and manage new and in force opportunities to deliver sustainable and commercial reinsurance solutions to existing and new clients that meet both client’s and PartnerRe’s needsBe accountable for the management of your region’s risk exposure and experience which includes taking proactive and preventative measures to ensure long-term sustainability and long-term client partnershipEnsure you and your team’s adherence to PartnerRe’s risk, governance and reporting framework in the conduct of Business Development and other activities for PartnerReLead the promotion of PartnerRe’s expertise in your region as well as Asia-Pacific, through targeted marketing efforts, conferences, client events and externally representing and promoting PartnerRe's capabilities.Be a leader internally working closely with the local, regional and global cross-functional teams to ensure the teams are aligned and client-focused in delivering solutions to our clientsFoster the professional development of your direct reports and support an inclusive and collaborative environment for your team and colleaguesSupport the Chief Commercial Officer in required management reporting and delegated responsibilities.
