Artist Studio Assistant

Hello!

I am a visual and sonic artist who is looking for assistants to help me in the studio leading up to a large-scale installation premiering in NYC December 2026. I am looking for folks who can help with the physical elements of running the studio, but potentially more of the logistics, planning and scheduling as well. My work spans from sculpture to audio production and interactive technology, so I am especially interested if you have any combination of these types of skills:

1. Cleaning/Organizing

2. Woodworking, Metal, Glass, and material fabrication

3. Ability to work safely with power tools

4. Technical abilities: ability to work in audio production, wiring, soldering, arduino, Max MSP

5. Video Editing

6. Can lift things

7. Good communicator! Queer Friendly!

Compensation is $20-25/hr (depending on experience and skill) and I am looking at about 5-10 hours a week starting off, with more as the project needs. I am especially interested in folks who have some combination of weekdays available like 10-3.

There is also the possibility to have an exchange for studio space, but to be discussed as needed.
